About Infinite Wordplay
Word games you can play for as long as you like: no daily limit, no account, no clutter. Just a board, a keyboard and the next word.
Why we built it
Daily word puzzles are a great habit, but one puzzle a day is not always enough. Sometimes you want to practice a new starting word, play a few quick rounds on the train, or send a friend the exact word that just beat you. Infinite Wordplay gives you all of that. The home page is an infinite Wordle-style game: a new word every round, in any length from four to nine letters. For people who like a ritual, there are also daily puzzles in six lengths, graded hints and a full archive.
We care about the details players notice. The game accepts real words instead of rejecting them, handles double letters exactly the way you expect, and remembers your streaks without asking you to sign up. It is built to load fast on a phone, and it works in American, British, Canadian and Australian English, so colour is right in London and color is right in Chicago.
Where the words come from
Our dictionary combines open, well-documented sources rather than a copied answer list. Guesses are checked against SCOWL (now the English Speller Database), the word lists behind many open-source spell checkers, plus the ENABLE word list. Answers are common base words chosen by how often they are used in English, then reviewed: we remove offensive words, slurs, and words that would feel wrong as a daily answer. There are 11,615 daily answers across the six lengths, enough for years without a repeat.
The short definitions in hints and at the end of a round come from Open English WordNet, with the word itself left out so the clue does not give it away.

How do you choose the answers?
Answers are common base words picked by frequency from the SCOWL word lists, then filtered by hand and by a blocklist. Plurals and past tenses can be guessed but are never the answer.
Can I suggest a word or report one?
